Claudia Ciesla. Being an actress has made me extremely aware of the demands our bodies face, long shoots, irregular hours, physical expression, camera pressure, and constant performance energy. That awareness directly influences the kind of guidance I offer through Claudia’s Concept. I always focus on practical, sustainable nutrition because I know firsthand how important it is to feel light, energetic, and mentally sharp on set. My programs are designed not just for weight loss, but for performance, better focus, better stamina, better mood, and better emotional balance. My followers see me juggling acting, performing, travel, and wellness, so I want them to understand that nutrition is not about strict dieting, it’s about supporting your lifestyle so you can show up as your best self every day.
Q2. Has understanding the science of nutrition ever changed the way you approach character preparation, especially for roles requiring specific body language, fitness levels or aesthetics?
Claudia Ciesla. Absolutely. Once you understand how food affects your energy, hormones, emotions, and appearance, preparing for a character becomes more strategic. If a role requires physical strength or agility, I increase protein and focus on mobility training. If the character is glamorous, I prioritise hydration, anti-inflammatory foods, and balanced meals to keep my skin glowing and body camera-ready. If emotional depth is required, I avoid foods that cause fatigue or mood swings. Nutrition isn’t just about the body, it affects your performance, your expression, and even your posture. Understanding that has transformed the way I approach any role.

Q3. Performing involves long rehearsals and travel. How do you maintain your wellness discipline while balancing the unpredictability of the entertainment world?
Claudia Ciesla. If rehearsals or shoot schedules are in Mumbai, I always carry my own food. It keeps me on track and prevents unnecessary snacking. When I travel, I make sure to eat as clean as possible and never compromise on my meal timings. I stay active using the hotel gym or simply doing yoga in my room, movement is non-negotiable for me. Wellness is not about perfection; it’s about consistency. Even on the busiest days, I make sure my meals, water intake, and sleep are aligned with my routine.
Q4. In today’s industry, many artists struggle to stay healthy while keeping up creatively. What combination of nutrition, movement, and mindset would you recommend to young actors or performers?
Claudia Ciesla. Health is, above all, a mindset. Once you build healthy habits and make them part of your lifestyle, everything else becomes easier and more natural. Nutrition doesn’t need to be complicated, it simply needs to be consistent. Eating real, wholesome food, prioritising enough protein, avoiding long gaps between meals, and staying well hydrated can completely transform your energy levels and performance. Your body is your instrument, and how you fuel it shows on stage and on screen. Movement is equally important. A good mix of strength, mobility, and recovery keeps you balanced and prevents burnout. Whether you’re dancing, rehearsing, or acting, a strong and flexible body supports your craft and helps you stay injury-free. Even on busy days, a short workout or some stretching can reset your mind and body. Mindset is the third pillar. Don’t compare yourself to others, every actor’s journey is unique. Focus on discipline, consistency, and protecting your mental health. When you feel centred, confident, and calm, your creativity thrives. Your routine should support your artistic expression, not compete with it. When nutrition, movement, and mindset work together, performers unlock their true potential both on and off the screen.

Q5. How has working in Indian entertainment shaped your understanding of the body’s needs, whether it’s food, recovery, expression, or emotional balance?
Claudia Ciesla. Indian entertainment is vibrant, expressive, and high-energy. You need stamina for dance rehearsals, emotional depth for scenes, and quick recovery for back-to-back shoots. I’ve learned that the body responds beautifully when you listen to it, rest when needed, nourish properly, hydrate constantly, and maintain emotional balance. The industry taught me that wellness isn’t optional, it’s essential for longevity.
Q6. As an actor and performer, what excites you more, slipping into a new character or creating an unforgettable stage moment?
Claudia Ciesla. Both! Recently, performing Balma live with Akshay Kumar at the Filmfare Awards in front of 15,000 people reminded me how powerful a stage moment can be. The energy, the audience, the live connection, you can’t recreate that anywhere else. But becoming a new character has its own charm. You get to explore emotions, stories, and perspectives you may never experience in real life. Both excite me equally for different reasons.
Q7. How do you prepare differently for a performance that’s high-energy and expressive versus a role that demands emotional depth on screen?
Claudia Ciesla. For high-energy performances, I focus on physical readiness, strong nutrition, hydration, endurance training, and rehearsals. My body needs to feel powerful but light. For emotional scenes, I shift inward. I spend time alone, detach from noise, and get into a calmer mental space. Emotional work requires vulnerability, so I protect my energy before and after shooting.
Q8. Performing requires spontaneity while acting needs precision. How do you balance these two creative instincts?
Claudia Ciesla. I see them as complementary. Precision grounds you; spontaneity brings magic. When I perform, I trust my body’s muscle memory. When I act, I trust my emotional memory. The more disciplined you are, the more freely you can improvise. That’s the secret balance.
Q9. How do you maintain your individuality as a performer in an industry where everyone is constantly reinventing themselves?
Claudia Ciesla. Growth and change are the only things constant, I love it. But I never reinvent myself just to fit a trend. I evolve based on what inspires me, challenges me, and feels true to who I am. Staying authentic is the real individuality. When you know your strengths and your story, you never get lost in the noise.
Q10. What kind of roles or performance styles are you currently drawn toward that you haven’t explored yet?
Claudia Ciesla. I would love to explore action-oriented roles and intense dance-performance characters. Martial arts training, yoga flexibility, and dancing are a big part of me, I would love roles that highlight those strengths. OTT thrillers or glamorous, high-performance roles excite me the most right now.
Q11. Do you think stage performance enhances an actor’s screen presence? How has it shaped yours?
Claudia Ciesla. Absolutely. Stage work teaches timing, expression, stamina, and connection. When you perform live, you cannot rely on retakes, you must deliver with full energy and authenticity. My Filmfare performance reminded me how alive and present the stage makes you. That confidence carries beautifully onto the camera as well.
Q12. As someone who performs across multiple platforms, what is the one essential quality every actor-performer must cultivate today?
Claudia Ciesla. Adaptability. The industry is evolving fast, OTT, live shows, reels, films, music videos, every platform demands a different energy. An actor today must be emotionally flexible, physically strong, mentally centred, and creatively open. Adaptability is what keeps you relevant, resilient, and fulfilled.
