A glimpse into a chilling story where quiet is deceiving and what’s beneath is considerably more hazardous than what’s visible can be found in Sony LIV’s KanKhajura! A world where secrets simmer, guilt lingers and the past seeks retribution is provided by the just released trailer.
KanKhajura is a compelling Indian version of the critically acclaimed Israeli television series Magpie, reimagining the original with a raw, emotional intensity and an Indian soul. With the distinction between memory and reality becoming increasingly hazy, the narrative examines the bond between two estranged brothers who must face their darkest history. What occurs when your own memories turn into an imprisoning force from which you can never free yourself?
The actress who portrays Nisha, Sarah Jane Dias, stated, “Not only is KanKhajura a very disturbing story, but it also makes you face issues of guilt, family and memory. Nisha is a character that is attempting to maintain her composure despite the fact that she is experiencing internal turmoil. Playing a character with so many layers and nuances wasn’t simple, but it was liberating.”
